Before I get here, I should probably back it up a little. Katie and I have known each other since 7th grade, from that first time that Ashley introduced me to her and we had an awkward conversation about Titanic, there was something that just clicked. She always got me. Was sympathetic, and most important, made me laugh. We remained besties from then on out. From N*Sync, to crazy nights at Rowan, we always made time for each other. We saw each other through the best and worst relationships with boys and were always able to pick each other up when needed. Even when I moved to philly, she was still never more than a phone call or weekend drive away. So where does Frank fit into all this? Well when I met my husband Joe, I also very quickly met Frank aka "Pepper." He's outgoing, friendly, and always up to have fun, I had to set him up with one of my friends! I know what you're thinking, Katie right? Wrong. Katie was in a relationship, and honestly I never really "saw it". I tried all of my other friends, literally. So luck would have it when Joe and I tied the knot, it was Katie and Frank (and Bish) walking down the aisle together. Did it happen then? Of course not. Katie was still in a relationship, and it just wasn't the right time. So on their own random time, these two secretly starting talking on twitter. It was strange being in the middle of the two as they started dating, but it really was great watching them make every milestone in the dating world. From going on their first weekend away, to getting their apartment, you could really see it was meant to be the whole time. So the proposal. Joe slipped the secret a few days earlier that Frank had the ring, and I got a text the next day from Frank asking if I was free that night. Of course I was! We came up with a mini-plan and I arrived about an hour before Katie's arrival, only to run into Bish, our other best friend who didn't know. Frank and I decided to let her in on it and she helped us set up. It was probably one of the most nerve-wracking, exciting things I've had the chance to be apart in. It was also super tough to shoot with no flash. But Frank really did do an amazing job. I think my favorite part was not Katie's reaction to the ring, but her reaction to us creeping in her apartment. It was perfect. Thank you again to Frank for asking me to be apart of this moment, and to Katie for not being mad that we intruded on this moment, it was a blast! We had a great time celebrating that night all together. Can't wait for the wedding! First, we started with a little practice session! A little something to calm the nerves. Congrats you two!
